Wittgenstein Prize for Barry Dickson

On 8 July, Barry Dickson received the Wittgenstein Prize from federal chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel and the president of the Austrian Science Fund, Georg Wick. Dickson and co-laureate Rudolf Grimm will each be able to spend 1.3 Million Euros on their research projects over the next five years.

Neurobiologist Barry Dickson is a Senior Scientist at the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology (IMBA) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Earlier this year, he was designated as the successor of IMP scientific director Kim Nasmyth.
