What flies can teach humans
The 20th European Drosophila Research Conference ‘EDRC’ takes place in Vienna from September 12 to 14, 2007. The meeting, which is organised jointly by the IMP and Vienna’s University of Veterinary Medicine, will bring together more than 600 researchers from all over the world. One of the highlights of the conference will be the introduction of the fly-library at the Vienna Drosophila Research Center (VDRC). This unique research tool set up and run by the IMP and IMBA offers a collection of more than 22,000 fly-strains to the scientific community.
