VBC PhD-Syposium ‘BioMimetics’
The tenth International VBC PhD-Syposium will take place at the IMP on November 8 and 9, 2012. The meeting, which is organised entirely by doctoral students of the Vienna Biocenter, will be held under the title ‘BioMimetics’ and is devoted to topics at the interface of biology and technology. International bionics-experts with diverse backgrounds in biology, physics, chemistry and enigeering will present and discuss the strategies that organisms have developed as solutions for mechanical or structural problems.
