Meinrad Busslinger elected Austrian Academy of Sciences member

In its annual election meeting on April 24, the Austrian Academy of Sciences has accepted 27 scientists from Austria and abroad as new members or associated members. Among the four new full members is Prof. Meinrad Busslinger, Senior Scientist at the IMP. Group Leader Stefan Westermann has been accepted into the "Young Academy". This body has been created in 2008 and consists of young, established researchers. Membership in the Young Academy is restricted to eight years and ends when the member has reached the age of 45 years.
