EMBO YIP Meeting

08 May 2006

The EMBO Young Investigator Programme identifies and supports outstanding life scientists in Europe. Each year, EMBO appoints some 20 new "YIPs", as they are called. With 6 present and former YIPs to its credit, the IMP has one of the highest local concentrations of YIPs in Europe. So this year, when the annual YIP meeting was held outside Heidelberg for the first time, it was the IMP’s honor to host the meeting. From May 3-6 the YIPs met in Vienna. For three intense days, they presented their research in a series of short talks, as well as participating in workshops and round-table discussions.
