Postdoc Activities

For the third year in a row, the Postdocs at the VBC campus are organizing their own Postdoc Invited Speaker Series. "Early-career" group leaders are invited to present their work at the VBC campus and interact with Postdocs. Next to communicating about science, we also encourage invited speakers to share their experiences getting to the junior group leader stage.

In 2013, the speakers will be:

Grants comprise the main funding of most scientific labs.  This can be in the form of personal grants, project grants or lab grants. Writing grants is therefore an instrumental skill to be successful in science. These workshops aim primarily at helping Postdocs to write their individual postdoc grants. These workshops will also help to prepare postdocs to write the first lab and project grant to finance their transition to a group leader.
