Deadlines: annually in January 31st

The Fellowships are funded by the ERS with the objective of enabling investigators and clinicians, who are in the early stages of their careers, to carry out basic or clinical research projects and to develop, acquire and apply advanced research procedures and techniques in the area of respiratory medicine and science through 12-months work period in a foreign country in Europe. Open to all nationalities.

The ERS does not apply an upper age limit for candidates as an eligibility criterion. Awards are conditional on the availability of appropriate facilities and resources to apply the newly acquired skills.

The return of the Fellow to the home institution at the end of the Fellowship is encouraged.

The programme is open to both Europeans and non-Europeans, but Host institutes must be located in Europe.
