Electronic Journals at the Max Perutz Library

The Max Perutz Library subscribes to around 2,000 electronic journals from the field of life sciences including top journals from Blackwell, Elsevier, Nature Publishing Group, Science, Springer and Wiley. The topics covered by the electronic journals collection of the Max Perutz Library range from biochemistry, bioinformatics, cell biology, developmental biology, genetics and molecular biology, immunology, microbiology, neuroscience, plant science to structural biology. You have got access to the full-text of the electronic journals from workstations located at IMP, IMBA and GMI. External users can access the library's electronic content from one of the workstations in the Max Perutz Library's reading room.

The electronic journals subscribed to by the Max Perutz Library are all listed in the Electronic Journals Library including the holdings information for every journal. The Electronic Journals Library, representing a fast, structured and standardised search interface,  uses a simple colour system to indicate the availability of a journal. Green-marked journals can be accessed freely in the Internet, whereas for yellow-marked journals access is restricted to authorised users of the Max Perutz Library. For journals marked red, the Max Perutz Library does not hold a subscription. Hence, fulltext is not available, but table of contents and abstracts are usually accessible free-of-charge.
